Ben is a Vice President in the US Group Life & Health actuarial team. Ben’s responsibilities include pricing Swiss Re’s Group Life and Group AD&D reinsurance business. Additional responsibilities include pricing tool and assumption development, experience studies, financial reporting and client services.
Ben has been with Swiss Re since September 2017 after one year in the Actuarial Science Master's program at Ball State University. Originally receiving his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education from Maranatha Baptist University, he taught three years of high school mathematics before transitioning to middle school to teach three more years.
After interning in Group Products at Swiss Re, he spent his first rotation as an actuarial student on the US Individual Life Valuation team, responsible for Swiss Statutory Reserve analysis and reporting. Ben also had brief periods in Client Markets and Individual Products as a Client Actuary and a member of the Actuarial Support team. Ben is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries.
