Bee Wilson is a British food writer and the author of six books on food- related subjects which consider food in wide context including First Bite: How We Learn to Eat and Consider the Fork. Wilson writes about food and other subjects for a wide range of publications including The Guardian and The Financial Times and she writes a monthly food column for The Wall Street Journal.  She has been named the Fortnum and Mason food writer of the year in 2016, 2017 and 2018.  She is the founder and chair of TastEd (short for Taste Education), a charity promoting taste education in schools, to give children positive experiences with vegetables and fruits, based on the Sapere method.  Her most recent book is The Way We Eat Now, which was published in 2019 and which charts the nutrition transition across the world and points to some ways in which the food system of the future could be changed for the better.  She believes that preference and pleasure are often the missing part of the discussion of food policy.
