Andreas is a qualified Swiss Attorney-At-Law and Chartered Insurer (ACII). He has been working for Swiss Re since 2005, having managed marine and liability claims at the very outset. Gradually, Andreas took on formal leadership roles, having led Swiss Re's Global Marine Claims Network, the Special Lines, African & Middle East as well as the Western and Southern European and Global Clients Claims Teams in multiple constellations before taking on his current role. Andreas has been a member of the EMEA claims and business management leadership teams since 2014 and 2016 respectively.
Andreas is a co-founder of the Swiss Association for Maritime Law (Swiss Chapter of the Comité Maritime International - CMI), member of the Insurance Working Group of the CMI and the Legal and Claims Study Group of the International Union of Aerospace Insurers – IUAI, as well as a regular speaker, moderator and facilitator at industry and internal events. In 2013, Andreas represented Swiss Re in the Young Leaders program of the American Swiss Foundation.
Andreas is passionate about transportation, travelling and photography and greatly enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids as well as his friends. He is fluent in four languages and loves bringing people together.
