Alessandro Sorniotti Principal Research Scientist - Decentralised Trust IBM Research

Alessandro is a principal research scientist at IBM Research Lab in Zurich, Switzerland. His research focuses on applied cryptography and system security, with him being one of the architects of Hyperledger Fabric and his work having accumulated more than 6000 citations. Prior to joining IBM, he was a member of the Security&Trust research program of SAP Research. Alessandro holds a PhD in applied cryptography from EURECOM and Telecom ParisTech (former Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications, Paris) and a double MSc degree from Politecnico di Torino (Turin, Italy) in Computer Science and from EURECOM in Networking.
