Edi Schmid, Chairman of Swiss Re Institute and Swiss Re's Group Chief Underwriting Officer, Jérôme Jean Haegeli, Swiss Re's Chief Economist and Martin Bertogg, Head Catastrophe Perils at Swiss Re will speak in this virtual media roundtable on the world's growing exposure to natural catastrophe risk, the role of climate change as a major risk driver and the need for the re/insurance industry to fundamentally change how it assesses climate risk, as well as Swiss Re's broader approach to tackling climate change.The roundtable will also facilitate a discussion around the sigma publication, which will be published on Wednesday, 8 April 2020.
