About the Team

As a credit control associate within our Operations Corporate Solutions team in Shanghai, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the financial integrity of our business. Ensuring accurate and timely processing of client accounts, managing cash flow, and supporting critical internal and external reporting requirements. This is a role where your expertise directly contributes to the financial health and regulatory compliance of the organization.

About the Role

MANAGE RECEIVABLES
•  Prepare Premium Control Report
•  Send reminder to account manager or channel(herewith referring to broker and agency) directly (depending on the internal agreement)
•  Prepare documents for client audit
•  Check with UW documents for Client Audit
•  Identify the received document from channel (premium allocation)
•  Clarify link with policy (premium allocation) 
•  Initiate correction if needed
•  Release draft bookings in system
•  Bookings released to ledger
VALIDATE RECEIVABLES
•  Screen financial ledger (premium allocation)
•  Clarify split with channel (where applicable)
•  Allocate payment to correct receivable
•  Initiate correction if needed
•  Pair payment
•  Inform L&C on large payments & discrepancies against policy for AML purposes
ANALYSE & RESOLVE A/R
•  Identify amounts released and still due
•  Inform about unsettled premiums
•  Send payments to Partner
•  Analyse differences expected/paid
•  Clarify differences where needed
•  Allocation receipts in premium 
•  Make receivables journal 
SETTLE PAYMENTS
•  Prepare commission list to broker/agent (payment)
•  Check payable commission list from broker/agent 
•  Check premium status before pay the claim
•  Allocation commission in premium
•  Make commission journal 

About You

•  Minimum 2 years relevant working experience
•  University degree (Accounting, Economics, Finance preferred)
•  Credit Control Expertise: Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and experience in credit control roles within financial services or insurance sectors
•  Credit Control & Accounts Receivable: Proven experience in credit control, including monitoring outstanding balances, managing collections, and maintaining accurate client account records
•  Data Validation & Financial Systems: Strong proficiency in capturing, validating, and reconciling financial data using ERP or accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms)
•  Experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry, with familiarity of reserving and closing procedures
•  Knowledge of Chinese regulatory reporting requirements and experience working within a regulated financial environment
•  Solid communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional and multicultural teams
•  Proficiency in both Mandarin and English, enabling effective collaboration in a bilingual business environment
•  Experience working in a multinational organisation, with an understanding of international financial operations and reporting standards
