About the Role

 

As a Claim Specialist within our France Claim Team in Paris, you will be at the heart of our claims operations — managing cases with precision, empathy, and strategic thinking. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that every claim is handled with the highest standards of quality and professionalism, directly contributing to Swiss Re Corporate Solutions' reputation for excellence. This is a full-time, permanent position (100%) where your expertise will truly make a difference.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage claims of varying severity end-to-end, from first notification through to resolution, ensuring timely and accurate handling at every stage
  • Conduct thorough coverage reviews, applying sound legal and contractual interpretation to determine the scope of coverage and advise stakeholders accordingly
  • Perform detailed loss assessments, evaluating the financial and operational impact of claims with a structured and analytical approach
  • Develop and implement appropriate claims resolution strategies, balancing client needs, business objectives, and technical requirements
  • Deliver outstanding client service in line with CorSo Claims Commitment and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), building trust and long-term relationships
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including underwriting, legal, and finance to ensure a seamless and coordinated claims experience
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date claims documentation, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines
  • Monitor and report on claims developments, providing clear and insightful updates to relevant stakeholders and management
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance the team's overall performance and efficiency

The France Claim Team is a dedicated and collaborative group of professionals committed to delivering quality claims handling and exceptional client service in line with CorSo Claims Commitment and Standard Operating Procedures. The team manages claims of varying severity, covering the full spectrum from coverage review and loss assessment through to finding the most appropriate claims resolution strategy. Based in Paris, the team operates with a strong client-first mindset, combining technical expertise with a passion for excellence to support Swiss Re Corporate Solutions' business across France and beyond.

You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional who brings a strong technical foundation in claims handling combined with a genuine passion for client service. You are comfortable navigating complexity, working autonomously while also being a collaborative team player. You communicate with clarity and confidence — in both French and English — and you approach every claim with integrity, curiosity, and a solution-focused mindset. Whether you are managing a straightforward case or a high-severity situation, you bring the same level of dedication and professionalism to everything you do.

 

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

 

  • Claims handling expertise: Demonstrated experience managing the full claims lifecycle, including coverage review, loss assessment, and resolution strategy, with the ability to handle cases of varying complexity and severity
  • Insurance environment experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance or broker companies, with a solid understanding of insurance products, processes, and market dynamics
  • English language proficiency: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, enabling effective collaboration with international teams, clients, and partners

 

These are additional nice to haves:

 

  • International program experience: Familiarity with managing or supporting international insurance programs, including an understanding of cross-border coverage structures and multinational client needs
  • Legal background: A foundation in law or legal studies that enhances your ability to interpret policy wordings, assess coverage positions, and navigate complex claims scenarios with confidence
  • Stakeholder management skills: A natural ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and internal partners, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in every interaction

For France, the base salary range for this position is between 50'000 EUR and 74'000 EUR for a full-time role.

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role
  • the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience

In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Furthermore, you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits. Eligibility may vary depending on the terms of Swiss Re policies and your employment contract.

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
