Description

With an optical play of light, reflection and color, this wall-mounted work Cyan turquoise reverb reflection (2019) by Olafur Eliasson continues his interest in the fundamental interactions of the visible light spectrum on geometric planes. A large, circular pane of glass is mounted in front of a large round mirror. A pattern of vivid concentric circles is printed on the glass, which interacts with its own reflection in the mirror behind to produce a dazzling Moiré illusion.

The captivating image responds to and amplifies the viewer's every movement before the artwork, heightening their awareness of themselves in space (neugerriemschneider).
