Dear Sir/Madam
An intensely inspiring two days of the Sigma event are behind us.
Many thanks for participating, for exchanging your views, for the lively discussions!
How to close the protection gap? This was one of the key questions of the Sigma event 2017. What can we learn from other lines of business? What can our industry do to make the consumer buy coverage for natural catastrophes?
It's on us, on our creativity and innovative power to develop solutions which bring a value to the customer. Products that are easy to understand and easy to access. The potential of technology could be key in making insurance more user-friendly, but even more important is how to get consumers on board. There's a lot of work for us but also a lot of opportunities!
Once again many thanks! We hope you enjoyed the Sigma event as much as we did.
Thank you for joining our Sigma event.
Best regards,
Edi Schmid, Head Property & Specialty Underwriting Reinsurance, Swiss Re
