Joerg Bertogg Chief Operating Officer (COO) Zurich Insurance Company

Joerg Bertogg was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Zurich Commercial Insurance (CI) and member of Zurich’s CI Executive Board in 2022. His responsibilities include leading CI’s global digital & analytics platforms, international program business, IT and business transformation.

Prior to his current role, he was a member of the Executive Board of Zurich Switzerland and the Head of CI Switzerland. In addition, he was responsible for Zurich’s Austria and Israel International Business.

Between 2013 and 2016, Joerg was the COO of Zurich’s Global Corporate business. Previously, Joerg was a member of the Executive Board and Chief Operating Officer of Zurich Switzerland from 2009 to 2012. He was Chief Operating Officer of Zurich Insurance plc Global Corporate business in Ireland from 2007 to 2009. Before joining Zurich in 2003, he was a senior manager at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting.

Joerg holds a Master’s Degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Berne, Switzerland and an Advanced Management Program Degree from the IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain.
