Dr. Vipin K. S. is an expert in Natural Catastrophe (NatCat) risk model development, with deep experience in probabilistic modeling and risk assessment for the property insurance. As Vice President and Head of the NatCat Centre of Excellence at Risk Data Solutions in Swiss Re, Vipin leads NatCat modeling, advisory and post-event loss assessment initiatives. He has played a key role in managing geologic peril models in APAC region for reinsurance pricing. Vipin holds a PhD in seismic hazard assessment and has a strong track record in client consulting, product development and commercialization. He has contributed extensively to academic and industrial research and has been recognized with multiple awards for his innovative product development works.
