Damien Somé External Affairs Senior Manager, GARDP

Damien Somé is the External Affairs Senior Manager at GARDP, where he leads external relations, partnerships, and engages in science diplomacy. With a strong foundation in political economics, he is committed to driving impactful partnerships for global health and public good.

Over the past decade, Damien has worked across the public and private sectors, including with UNICEF in Geneva and Beijing, where he focused on resource mobilization through multistakeholder platforms and government partnerships. Prior to UNICEF, he served at the Kofi Annan Foundation, working closely with the late UN Secretary-General’s Africa Progress Panel.

Damien holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration from Tamkang University and a Master’s in International Affairs from the Geneva Graduate Institute. He is fluent in French, English, and Mandarin.
