About the Role
As a Senior QA & Reliability Engineer, you will be at the heart of Swiss Re's cloud transformationjourney — embedding quality and reliability into every layer of our Azure cloud platform. This isnot a siloed QA role. You will think holistically, connecting testing, monitoring, and observabilityas interconnected disciplines that drive real engineering excellence. You will work in a fast-paced,cross-functional environment, partnering with platform, product, and delivery teams to ensure ourcloud solutions are secure, compliant, and built to last.

Key Responsibilities
Define and execute comprehensive test strategies — including integration, performance,chaos, and resilience testing — tailored for cloud-native environments
Build and maintain automated test frameworks and embed quality gates across CI/CDpipelines to enable continuous compliance and consistent delivery standards
Ensure end-to-end functional and non-functional validation (NFRs) across platform servicesand application workloads
Drive test coverage, defect analysis, and root cause resolution to continuously improveplatform reliability
Establish quality metrics and reporting frameworks that provide actionable insights toengineering and leadership teams
Design and maintain logging frameworks, metrics pipelines, distributed tracing, and alertingsystems at scale using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics
Implement and maintain unit testing for PowerShell using Pester, ensuring high testcoverage and reliability across platform automation
Enforce coding and configuration standards through linting tools across PowerShell, YAML,Bicep, and JSON
Embed quality and reliability practices into the SDLC and DevOps/DevSecOps pipelines, championing a shift-left approach to quality
Apply chaos engineering principles using tools such as Azure Chaos Studio or Gremlin toproactively identify and address reliability risks
Mentor engineers and uplift QA and SRE practices across teams, fostering a culture ofengineering excellence
Partner with Product Owners, Security Leads, Architects, and delivery teams to align qualityoutcomes with business goals and platform strategy

About the Team
The Public Cloud Platform Delivery Team is a core unit within Swiss Re's Public CloudTransformation department. The team is responsible for managing the overall Azure platformsetup, security policies, and service operations — enabling application teams to deliver secure,compliant, and innovative solutions that drive business value. Working closely with applicationdelivery teams, the team partners to innovate, deliver, and operate solutions in a fast, secure,and compliant way.
The team's mission is to: Design, build, and operate secure and compliant cloud platforms, shared services, andtools that enhance value-driven adoption
Provide an efficient engineering experience via platforms and services aligned with CloudTechnology Management steering and guidance

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
Deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure — including Azure Monitor, ApplicationInsights, Log Analytics, Azure Chaos Studio, and related observability, reliability, andplatform services
Strong background in reliability or quality engineering — with proven experience designingand executing testing strategies (integration, performance, chaos/resilience testing) incloud-native environments, including unit testing for PowerShell using Pester
Solid expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) — particularly Bicep — and hands-onexperience integrating testing and validation processes into CI/CD Azure DevOps pipelines
for automated quality and reliability checks
Proven experience with DevOps/DevSecOps methodology — including continuousdeployment, delivery pipelines, test environments, and enforcing coding and configurationstandards through linting across PowerShell, YAML, Bicep, and JSON
Hands-on experience with platform engineering concepts — including golden paths, pavedroad tooling, self-service automation, and internal developer platforms (IDPs), combinedwith experience in Azure landing zone design, platform automation, network topology,access management, and security architecture

Experience with chaos engineering tools such as Gremlin or similar platforms beyond AzureChaos Studio
Proficiency in one or more scripting/programming languages: PowerShell, Bash, or Python
Experience designing application workloads using Cloud Platform Services (IaaS and PaaS)
Familiarity with privileged identity design, high availability architecture, and security architecture in enterprise cloud environments
Strong stakeholder communication skills — comfortable working with Product Owners,Security Leads, Architects, and cross-functional engineering teams
Ability to thrive in a transformational, fast-paced, and complex environment and deliverresults with pragmatism and focus
Proficiency in English (required)

For India, the base salary range for this position will be shared during the recruitment process fora full-time role.
The specific salary offered considers: the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation,skills and experience
In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, theoffered salary may be below or above the advertised range. In addition to your base salary, youmay be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-basedannual bonus.

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office atleast three days per week.
