Performance Management Manager
Location: London, GB
Are you passionate about shaping the way people grow, perform and thrive at work? Do you enjoy turning complex HR concepts into clear, practical solutions that make a real difference for leaders and employees? If so, this could be the role for you.
At Swiss Re, we believe that a strong performance culture is the foundation of a resilient, future-fit organisation — and we are looking for a thoughtful, driven HR professional to help us build it.
About the Role
As a member of the Culture & Performance team at Swiss Re, you will contribute to the design, delivery and continuous improvement of our enterprise-wide performance management framework. This is a high-impact role where you will help embed a culture of accountability, meaningful feedback and differentiated performance — ensuring that goal-setting, performance, development, reward and progression are connected in a practical and future-fit way. You will help translate strategic priorities into clear processes, tools, guidance and insights that enable leaders and employees to have better performance conversations and make more informed people decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and evolve Swiss Re's enterprise-wide performance management framework, ensuring it remains practical, scalable and aligned to company values
- Deliver key performance management processes, including goal-setting, continuous feedback, check-ins, year-end performance reviews, calibration and performance differentiation
- Connect performance management with development, reward, progression and talent processes to support a coherent and integrated talent ecosystem
- Develop high-quality tools, guidance, templates, communication materials and enablement content for leaders, employees and HR colleagues
- Partner with HR Business Partners and other Talent & Culture teams to support effective adoption of performance practices across businesses and geographies
- Use data and insights to monitor process effectiveness, identify trends, highlight risks and recommend improvements to the performance management approach
- Support large-scale performance management initiatives and change activities, helping to translate strategy into clear actions, timelines and deliverables
- Contribute to stakeholder engagement, workshops, working sessions and feedback loops to ensure the performance framework meets business and employee needs
- Collaborate closely with Reward, Talent, People Analytics, HR Technology and Communications to ensure strong alignment across related processes and systems
- Monitor external trends and good practices in performance management, feedback, calibration and performance differentiation, bringing fresh thinking into the team
About the Team
This role sits within the Culture & Performance team, part of the wider Talent & Culture unit within the Group People Function — a team with a clear mandate to champion a client-centric performance culture across Swiss Re globally.
The team owns the design and continuous evolution of Swiss Re's performance management framework and related culture practices, ensuring that goal-setting, feedback, performance, development, reward and progression are meaningfully connected within a coherent talent ecosystem. The team drives change through clear expectations, impactful feedback practices, fair performance differentiation and data-driven decision-making.
You will work closely with colleagues across Talent & Culture, People Function Business Partners, Reward, People Analytics and business stakeholders worldwide. As a member of this team, you will play an important role in shaping and delivering practical solutions that help leaders and employees perform, grow and contribute to Swiss Re's success — at scale and with real impact.
