Junior IT Service Manager

About the Role
Are you looking to start your career in IT Service Management within a global technology organization?
As a Junior IT Service Analyst, you will support the delivery and continuous improvement of IT services that enable Swiss Re's business operations worldwide. You will work closely with experienced service managers, IT teams, service providers, and business stakeholders to help ensure a high-quality service experience for our users.

What You'll Do
Support IT Service Quality
- Monitor service dashboards and support tracking of incidents and service requests.
- Assist with the review and follow-up of high-priority or overdue tickets.
- Help ensure incidents are correctly categorized, prioritized, assigned and documented.
- Support ticket triage and service quality activities by helping identify misclassified, incorrectly prioritized, or aging tickets and coordinating follow-up actions.
- Support senior service managers in maintaining service quality standards.
Analyze and Improve Services
- Assist in identifying recurring issues and trends across IT services.
- Contribute to continuous service improvement by conducting ticket reviews and highlighting recurring issues and potential process gaps to Senior IT Service Manager
- Support preparation of service performance reports and KPI dashboards.
- Help collect customer feedback and support analysis of improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives and process optimization activities.
Vendor and Stakeholder Support
- Support coordination with both external and internal IT service providers.
- Assist with maintaining process-related documentation and preparing materials for trainings sessions and service review meetings.
- Help track operational performance metrics and service commitments.
- Collaborate with internal teams across multiple functions and locations.
Participate in Projects and Continuous Improvement
- Support project activities related to service improvements and operational efficiency.
- Participate in process enhancement initiatives and cross-functional projects.
- Assist with documentation updates and knowledge management activities.
- Learn and apply IT Service Management best practices.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- University degree.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Interest in IT Service Management, Operations, or Digital Technology.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in global teams.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Nice to Have
- Internship, university project, or part-time work experience in IT, technology, operations, or customer support.
- Basic understanding of IT Service Management concepts.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Exposure to ServiceNow, Jira, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Interest in ITIL, and/or Project Management methodologies.

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 1,500 and EUR 2,500 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.
Eligibility may vary depending on the terms of Swiss Re policies and your employment contract.
