About the Role
As a Finance Data Analyst within the RDS Finance team, you will play a pivotal role in building and enhancing the division’s finance data landscape. The role is centered on data modelling, analytics, and automation, with exposure to financial planning and performance management.
You will work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Product, and Technology to deliver scalable data solutions, improve reporting efficiency, and enable better decision-making through data.
Key Responsibilities
Data & Analytics
Maintain and enhance the finance data model, ensuring scalability, integrity, and performance
Build and optimize dashboards, reports, and analytical tools
Work with large datasets using SQL / Python / PySpark to generate insights
Drive improvements in data quality, governance, and consistency
Identify and implement automation opportunities
Business Analytics & Partnering
Translate complex datasets into clear insights for decision-making
Partner with stakeholders across Product, Sales, and Finance
Finance Process Support
Support planning, forecasting, and reporting cycles
Perform variance analysis to identify key drivers
Contribute to IFRS 15 and financial governance activities
About the Team
The RDS Data, Automation & Reporting team is based in Bangalore and plays a central role in managing reporting and planning data infrastructure, modelling, and analytics. Acting as a key partner to the global RDS Finance team, the team operates as a unified finance function — supporting the RDS Management Team with high-quality insights, planning support, and financial decision-making. This is a collaborative, forward-thinking team that values curiosity, innovation, and a continuous improvement mindset.
About You
You are a data-oriented professional with strong analytical and technical skills, and an interest in applying these within a finance context. You are curious, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
3–5 years of relevant experience (analytics, finance, data roles)
Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field
Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar tools
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
Experience with data models or analytical platforms (Palantir preferred)
These are additional nice to haves:
Experience in data model building and maintenance, with an understanding of data architecture and governance best practices
Familiarity with SaaS or fee-based business models, and an understanding of the financial dynamics of technology-driven businesses
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, with the ability to design intuitive, insight-driven dashboards
Exposure to automation, data pipelines, or self-service analytics, and a track record of driving process improvements
Strong understanding of, or demonstrated motivation to develop expertise in, financial performance drivers and planning processes, including IFRS 15 or comparable revenue recognition frameworks.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences
Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on automation, efficiency, and innovation
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
