Carrier Operations & Process Analyst (Hybrid; m/f/x/d; 80-100%)

Regular Employment

Location: Zurich, Zurich, CH

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for improving processes and a genuine excitement for the possibilities that AI and automation bring? Join our dynamic team in Zurich where you'll play a hands-on role in driving AI-powered process automation and supporting the continuous improvement of global carrier finance operations — working closely with senior stakeholders and teams across the globe.

About the Role

As our Carrier Operations & Process Analyst, you will support the operational execution and enhancement of Global Carrier finance processes — with a strong focus on identifying automation opportunities and driving AI-driven process improvement initiatives. Working closely with the Carrier Operations & Process Managers and the Regional Heads of Carrier Management, you'll contribute to transformation initiatives, help ensure process consistency, and play an active role in shaping smarter, more efficient ways of working. This is a role for someone who doesn't just follow processes — but actively questions, improves, and automates them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse existing carrier finance processes to identify automation opportunities and actively support the design and implementation of AI-driven, more efficient and standardised solutions
  • Drive and contribute to AI-powered process automation initiatives, translating identified opportunities into practical, scalable improvements that reduce manual effort and increase operational efficiency
  • Contribute to GFO&T strategic initiatives by performing analysis, supporting implementation activities, and helping track progress against key milestones
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders and the GFO&T Strategy team to prepare clear, datadriven materials that support informed decision-making
  • Coordinate regional (EMEA) and global Carrier Management activities, including preparation of materials, facilitation of meetings, and support of training and knowledge sharing

About the Team

Global Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T) is the division responsible for the accounting and reporting of accurate, consistent financial information for Swiss Re globally - supporting both external reporting and internal strategic analysis. The team's scope spans IFRS
reporting at the global level, as well as statutory financial information for all Swiss Re legal entities, including SST and Solvency II compliance. GFO&T is at the forefront of transforming Global Finance, steering the organisation toward a simpler, more effective, and forward-looking operating model. When you join GFO&T, you become part of a team that doesn't just keep the lights on — it drives meaningful change.

About You

You're a proactive and structured finance professional who enjoys working in international environments. You have strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset, and you're genuinely curious about how AI and automation can transform the way finance operations work. Whether you've already had hands-on experience with automation tools or you're eager to dive in and develop these skills, you bring the energy, initiative, and analytical mindset to make a real difference. You communicate clearly, work well across teams and regions, and are always looking for smarter ways to get things done.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field — we welcome applications from both finance and engineering backgrounds
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, consulting, finance operations, or a related engineering or technology discipline
  • Experience in the (re)insurance or financial services industry — a solid understanding of this sector is essential for success in this role
  • Good understanding of financial processes and data handling, with the ability to work confidently with data and systems
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience contributing to or leading automation initiatives, including identifying process automation opportunities and supporting or driving their implementation
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills, with a sharp attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving
  • Solid communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across teams and regions
  • Fluency in English (required) — as the primary language of business across our global teams
  • German language skills strongly recommended — given the Zurich-based working environment and local stakeholder interactions

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Knowledge of IFRS standards or relevant regulatory frameworks
  • Experience or strong interest in AI or digital transformation initiatives within a finance or operations context — including experience with tools such as RPA, Power Automate, or similar
  • Experience with financial systems or data tools
  • Additional European languages are a plus
