Career & Mobility Lead

Regular Employment

Location: Bangalore, KA, IN

Are you passionate about unlocking the potential of people and organizations? Do you thrive at the intersection of strategy and human impact? At Swiss Re, we believe that when people grow, businesses grow — and we're looking for a visionary Career & Mobility Lead to help us make that belief a reality at scale.

About the Role

As Career & Mobility Lead at Swiss Re, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how colleagues grow, move, and thrive across the organization. Reporting to the Head of Learning & Mobility, you will design and drive enterprise-wide career and internal mobility strategies that connect personal aspirations with business priorities — helping Swiss Re evolve into a truly skills-powered organization.

This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring close collaboration with People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and business leaders across a globally distributed organization. If you are energized by complexity, inspired by people, and ready to shape the future of work — this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape career strategy: Develop and evolve Swiss Re's enterprise career philosophy, designing scalable career frameworks, pathways, and progression models that support transparent and meaningful growth across functions, geographies, and disciplines
  • Lead internal mobility: Own Swiss Re's internal mobility strategy and governance, embedding principles and practices that encourage talent sharing, reduce organizational barriers, and ensure internal talent is proactively considered for opportunities
  • Enable digital mobility: Leverage talent marketplace technologies, skills data, and career platforms to increase visibility of opportunities and support short-term experiences, gigs, and cross-functional assignments
  • Elevate the career experience: Create intuitive, engaging career resources, toolkits, and manager enablement materials that empower employees to actively own their development
  • Champion inclusion: Ensure career frameworks and mobility practices support equitable access to opportunities across diverse career journeys, including lateral moves, stretch assignments, and expert career paths
  • Influence senior stakeholders: Partner with business leaders to identify capability gaps, facilitate governance forums, and advocate for an enterprise talent mindset that prioritizes internal growth
  • Drive insights and improvement: Use workforce analytics and mobility data to track success, identify barriers, and continuously improve career and mobility outcomes

About the Team

The Learning & Mobility team sits within Swiss Re's People Function and is dedicated to enabling colleagues to build future-ready careers while supporting the evolving capability needs of the business. We are a collaborative, forward-thinking team that partners closely with business leaders, People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and People Analytics to create integrated, scalable talent solutions. With a strong focus on skills-based talent practices, we play a key role in positioning Swiss Re as an organization where people can genuinely grow, move, and thrive — across borders, functions, and career stages.

About You

You are a strategic and empathetic talent professional who combines big-picture thinking with a genuine passion for people development. You are comfortable navigating complexity, influencing without formal authority, and translating evolving workforce trends into practical, scalable solutions. You lead with curiosity, inclusion, and a growth mindset — and you are energized by helping others unlock their potential.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • Significant experience in Talent Management, Career Development, Organizational Development, or Internal Mobility within complex, global organizations
  • Proven track record designing and implementing enterprise-wide talent or mobility strategies with measurable outcomes
  • Strong analytical capability with experience using workforce data and insights to influence senior stakeholders and drive continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with demonstrated ability to manage and influence across complex, matrixed stakeholder environments
  • Deep understanding of skills-based talent practices, workforce transformation, and future capability building

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Familiarity with talent marketplace technologies, career architecture tools, and skills frameworks
  • Experience designing short-term mobility programs, gig-based assignments, or talent sharing initiatives
  • Background in change management or organizational design
  • Experience working in globally distributed, matrixed organizations
  • Passion for inclusion and equity in career practices and talent systems
