About the Role
As the Business Manager for EMEA Corporate Real Estate at Swiss Re, you will support the function in portfolio and vendor-related analytics and specific project coordination and status reporting. The role will report into the Regional Head of Corporate Real Estate and provide day-to-day support directly to this role, as well as to the wider CRES EMEA management team.
You will work closely with Location Operations Managers and regional subject matter experts, helping prepare materials, coordinate inputs, track actions and maintain a clear overview of activity across a matrix organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate business reporting by preparing high-quality management information, dashboards and performance reports for senior leadership review.
• Support stakeholder engagement by preparing project materials for Location Managers, regional experts and regional CRES leadership.
• Help coordinate key projects and cross-functional initiatives by tracking actions, dependencies, timelines, risks and follow-up items across the region.
• Support operational process improvement by helping identify inefficiencies, capturing feedback and preparing practical recommendations for continuous improvement across the CRES function.
• Support vendor and contract management by maintaining a consistent overview of vendor spend, performance information, documentation and related follow-up activities.
About the Team
The Corporate Real Estate & Services (CRES) team is responsible for maintaining workplace excellence across the EMEA region. We ensure our facilities provide safe, compliant and productive environments through clear governance, operational expertise and effective coordination. Our team works in a matrix structure where Location Operations Managers handle day-to-day execution, while regional experts provide the technical governance and assurance that maintains our high standards. We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
• Proven experience in business management, operations, project coordination, or a similar business support role, ideally within corporate real estate, facilities management, or a professional services environment.
• Strong Project Management Office skills, with hands-on experience supporting multi-dimensional projects with multiple stakeholders and inputs, including capturing progress, status, risks, issues, dependencies and action plans through to completion.
• Good stakeholder management skills, with the ability to support collaboration across multiple functions and geographies in a matrix organisation.
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or equivalent), with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable information for senior audiences, particularly in relation to real estate portfolio data points.
• Experience in vendor onboarding and accounts payable systems and processes is beneficial, including supporting in the provision of a consistent oversight of vendor spend and KPIs to drive continuous improvement in our service delivery across the region.
These are additional nice to haves:
• Experience working within a CRES, facilities, or workplace management environment at a regional or global level.
• Familiarity with real estate portfolio management or workplace strategy concepts.
• Exposure to project management methodologies and experience supporting cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience working in a multinational or matrixed corporate environment, with an appreciation for cultural nuance and local country differences.
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 1,900 and EUR 3,200 per month (for a fulltime role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
