About the Role
- Tasks and responsibilities will include the following:
- Ensuring successful/timely completion of monthly/quarterly deliverables
- Focus on teamwork – taking on additional duties during peak times
- Perform monthly / quarterly reconciliations
- Ensure process controls are met consistently
- Building and maintaining relationships with key internal clients
- Assumption of additional projected-related responsibilities as well as ad-hoc requests from internal clients
- Support the team for all bases of Accounting – IFRS, Local statutory
- Participation in team collaboration and communication sessions
- Seeking out continuous coaching (formal / informal) from both local and functional team members
- Assisting in the completion of ad-hoc projects/queries
- Prioritize daily work to ensure all deadlines are met
- Perform critical self-review to ensure high quality work product
- Assimilation of local culture with Global Finance culture
- Ability to develop and cultivate relationships with local cross-functional business partners and global business partners
- Frequent and pragmatic communication regarding workload and issues encountered with both local and cross-functional teams.
About you
- University graduate or postgraduate in Finance/Accounting/Business. (Re) Insurance knowledge is preferred
- Foundational knowledge in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related area (based on the role).
- Interest in the Financial Services/Insurance/Reinsurance industry.
- Good numerical and analytical thinking skills.
- Good proficiency skills in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Eagerness to learn, attention to detail, and strong teamwork skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Team-player, willingness to contribute actively to the overall team spirit and embraces collaboration
- Approaches problem with curiosity and open-mindedness and should be a quick learner
- Highly self-motivated and results oriented. Able to work in a global and multicultural environment
- Demonstrates agility, self-starter and able to navigate well through ambiguity
