About the Partnership

Swiss Re Institute and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) are collaborating to advance understanding of systemic risk and its implications for the financial system and wider economy. The partnership brings together Swiss Re’s expertise in risk, insurance and resilience with LSE’s academic research and perspectives to examine how complex and interconnected risks can develop, interact and affect economies and societies.

At the heart of the collaboration is a jointly developed report on systemic risk, drawing on research and expertise from both organisations. The partnership will also bring experts and stakeholders together for a dedicated Systemic Risk Day, creating an opportunity to explore the report’s findings, discuss the implications of increasingly complex and interconnected risks, identify amplifiers and discuss ways to improve the resilience of the financial system. Together, the research and event aim to contribute to a broader dialogue on how systemic risks can be better understood and addressed.
