About the event

Behavioural data describes the observed actions of customers rather than their stated responses in questionnaires or demographics. It offers rich insights into how people are using, or will potentially use, our products as well as an opportunity to influence that human behaviour through 'nudging', personalisation, and behavioural segmentation. Spending and bank transactions, mobile phone use and physical activity as captured by a wearable are all relevant examples of behavioural data that we can potentially access through strategic partnerships. The insights from this data can help us to optimise insurance products, pricing and customer journeys to better meet the evolving expectations of insurance customers.

It sounds simple, but complex challenges and questions remain. What motivates policyholders to share their data with us? How do we ethically use alternative data for a win-win outcome?

In this two-hour webinar, Swiss Re's Behavioural Research Unit brings together academics and practitioners to discuss these questions and provide real-world applications to insurance.

Why should you participate?

• Gain insights on how behavioural data can enhance your customer relationships
• Understand the core requirements which motivate customers to share their data
• Develop practical ideas on how to use this data in an ethical yet personalized way
