Stefanos Mystakidis Senior Parametric Nat Cat Underwriter

Stefanos works as a risk analyst and modeler for the agriculture reinsurance team within Swiss Re's Global Specialty unit. He develops the team's crop growth model-based risk view. He is also heavily involved in quantitative weather and climate risk assessment in the context of the agriculture line of business. He brings hands-on experience in atmospheric sciences and numerical climate, land carbon cycle and vegetation modeling.

Prior to joining Global Specialty in 2019, Stefanos held the same position at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions since 2017.

Stefanos completed a master's degree in Environmental Physics and a second master's degree in Meteorology and Climatology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He also holds a PhD in Climate Science from ETH Zurich.
