About the event

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the critical importance of functioning healthcare systems when an acute global crisis hits. But our aging society is also facing long-term structural challenges that will intensify demand for effective, affordable healthcare. In fact, healthcare systems around the world face pressure from all corners: shortages of trained staff, rising costs, capacity constraints - and often political dissent or gridlock when it comes to necessary reforms.

Technology and digitalisation promise to address many of these challenges in society's pursuit of healthy longevity, but they give rise to practical, cultural, ethical and financial questions of their own.

As one of the world's largest life reinsurance companies, Swiss Re invites you to an expert panel on 13 June 2023, 11-12 a.m. CEST to discuss these challenges and explore potential solutions to providing sustainable healthcare to an evolving society for decades to come.
