This second event in the series is aimed at raising the sustainability agenda within the insurance industry in India. During the session, Gillian Rutherford-Liske, Swiss Re's Head Reinsurance Sustainability, will share how insurance companies can contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We will discuss what sustainable insurance looks like for India in both the life and non-life insurance space, as the country has the potential to marry its rich natural endowment with its technological innovations to promote transition to a low carbon economy, and harness its digital innovations to close mortality and morbidity protection gaps to promote societal resilience.
Nirantar Bharat - what comes after COVID-19? is a series of events, organised in collaboration with Swiss Re India Branch, bringing together leading thinkers from across India, to engage in dialogue, build partnerships and map out India's sustainable post-pandemic future.
