Naoki Ota Founder of New Stories & Policy Advisor of Ministry of Internal Affairs New Stories

Naoki Ota serves as the representative of New Stories and simultaneously Policy Advisor of Ministry of Internal Affairs. The company plans and operates future proto-typing with use of collaboration among governments, private companies, academias, and social business in challenging local cities, which are regarded as “living laboratory”.

In addition, he promotes civic tech activities in Code for Japan. During 2015-2018, he served as Special Advisor of Minister of Internal Affairs and conducted policy planning and implementation about local revitalization and PoC of IoT, AI, and so on. Prior to this position, he managed Asian technology group in Boston Consulting Group as management member.

Naoki Ota received his BA at Tokyo University before earning his MBA at London Business School.
