Sheema is Head of Claims for South East Asia. She has over 20 years' experience in the In/Reinsurance industry covering all lines of Non-Life business with a focus on Natural Catastrophe & Property claims. Sheema started her career with Swiss Re Australia & New Zealand in 2007. Prior to assuming her current role in Singapore, she led the Swiss Re claims response to the 2010/2011 New Zealand Earthquakes, Cyclone Debbie & Cyclone Yasi as well as many other large cyclone and flood events in Australia. Sheema's a strong advocate on the importance of Natural Catastrophe preparedness and how it brings resilience to the industry and has presented on lessons learnt from the New Zealand Earthquakes & Natural Catastrophe Preparedness to clients in Asia, Europe & Canada.
Sheema is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.
