Dow Jones Sustainability Indices 2021: Swiss Re improves its leadership position

Swiss Re climbs to second rank in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment among re/insurers and remains a constituent of the DJSI.

The Dow Jones Sustainability™ Indices (DJSI) are one of the world's most recognised benchmarks of corporate sustainability performance. S&P Global DJSI update their assessments on an annual basis and publish scores by industry based on environmental, social and economic factors. Close to 3,500 companies were evaluated in 2021.

Swiss Re scored 89 out of 100 in the 2021 S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment, reflecting an improvement of 2 points over the last year. As of 12 November 2021, Swiss Re performed in the 99th percentile and achieved the second highest score out of 127 companies assessed in the re/insurance industry. Swiss Re's score improved most significantly (+5 points) in the Governance & Economic dimension.
