Automation level:

0No Automation: Zero autonomy, driver performs al driving tasks.

1Driver Assistance: Driver controls the vehicle but some driving assist features included.

2Partial Automation: Vehicle has combined automation features but driver must remain engaged with the driving task at all times

3Conditional Automation: Driver is a necessity but not required to monitor the environment. Driver must be ready to take vehicle control with notice.

4High Automation: Vehicle is capable of performing all driving functions under certain circumstances. Driver may have the option to control the vehicle.

5Full Automation: Vehicle is capable of performing all driving functions under all conditions. Driver may have the option to control the vehicle.
