Invitation
We are living in a fast-changing world, where technology is increasingly intertwined with our lives. Technology has enabled a myriad of innovations that are relevant to our health, living standards and even social connections. At the same time, as we acquire new technology, it becomes possible for technology to understand human beings more deeply.
Today, practical technological applications such as visual recognition, partial body mobility support, and even language processing have progressed, allowing technology to begin taking over certain high-level complementary functions, including assisting individual decision making. It also collects human data on an increasingly personal level, like our biometric and genetic information. How well are we responding to this change, as an individual and as part of a society, to define our role in this Era of Human Information?
We are pleased to invite you to Swiss Re Annual Forum "We are One: The Era of Human Information", where we envision the transformative impact that technology and integrated human information will have.
We are honored to have Tetsuya Ogata, Professor of Waseda University, to be our keynote speaker. He will share his vision of what can be possible in the future through state-of-the-art use cases of integration in human information, robotics, and artificial intelligence research. Professor Ogata is a Joint Appointed Fellow of Artificial Intelligence Research Center at National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, and is leading research on social implementation of robotic movement and its influence through deep learning.
We are also delighted to host sessions with leading experts on visual / biometric recognition, natural language processing and biomedical engineering who will give us insights on the immense possibilities of human information. Also, in our panel discussion we will debate on how human information is being utilized, and to what extent it will be accepted by society.
We hope to enrich our dialogue with you and build a stronger partnership, as we insure our changing world for the future.
We look forward to welcoming you to our forum.
