Vincent Mooser MD is board certified in internal medicine and, since 2011, is the head of the Lab Department and the head of Biomedicine at Lausanne CHUV University Hospital.

His areas of interest include laboratory medicine, pharmaceutical sciences and genomic medicine. He trained in clinical pharmacology (CHUV), experimental pharmacology (University of Melbourne Australia) and molecular genetics of lipid disorders (UT Southwestern, Dallas TX). In his present position, he designed and implemented the Lausanne Institutional Biobank, a versatile infrastructure put in place by CHUV/UNIL to accelerate the development of genomic medicine and the discovery and development of innovative therapeutics and new biomarkers, using natural variation of the human genome as a tool. Prior to this position, he was vice-president in charge of Applied Genetics at GSK, a pharmaceutical company he joined in 2002, based in Philadelhia, where he run roles of increasing responsibility. He was the co-PI of the Lausanne CoLaus population-based cohort. Vincent Mooser also chairs the steering board of the Swiss Biobanking Platform and is a steering board member of the Swiss Academy for Medical Sciences.
