Dr. Li Xing joined Swiss Re in 2008. She is currently the Deputy Head of China Center, Senior Economist and a Vice President of Swiss Re Institute based in Beijing.
Her current major responsibilities include research on global and China's macroeconomics, re/insurance markets. She contributes to various editions of sigma, Swiss Re's flagship publication. Li also works on R&D to support the business functions. In addition, she facilitates to establish partnership in China with public sector, academia, association, start-ups and data companies. She is also active in exploring new risk pools for re/insurance solutions.
Li got her Ph.D in Management from Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU) and finished her Post-Doctoral Research on public policies with sponsorship from International Food Policy Research Institute (USA). She served as a consultant to the World Bank, Asia Development Bank and IFPRI during her employment with the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
She is a Member of the Asian Pacific Risk and Insurance Association (APRIA), an expert of online course with the Insurance Association of China (IAC), a strategic consultant to IAC among its earliest members of a Thousand Talent Program, and a member of Captive Committee of Insurance Society of China (ISC).
