Kelvin has 13 years of experience working from both public and private sectors with a specialty in technologies and innovations in the healthcare field. Based in Singapore, he is currently VP, Health & Medical Solutions Asia at Swiss Re, responsible for the development of health & medical solutions to address growing health-related risks in Asia, for example for ageing populations. Kelvin also leads thought leadership efforts such as Swiss Re's Asia Mortality Protection Gap study 2020.
Before joining Swiss Re, he was Head of Biomedical Sciences at the Singapore Economic Development Board. Leading the organisation's healthcare development efforts he brokered partnerships with tech giants and startups in the healthcare space, as well as large pharma and device companies. These resulted in strategic growth and investments for clients in their APAC businesses. Kelvin graduated as a biomedical engineer from Duke University and has an MBA from UCLA.
