Julia Chen is a Research Analyst at Swiss Re Institute. She joined Swiss Re in July 2019 and is currently based in Beijing.
She conducts macroeconomic analysis and insights on the Chinese economy and participates in global research projects on various key macroeconomic themes. Her research areas also include analysis of the China insurance market. She has contributed to Swiss Re Institute's sigma and Economic Insights publications.
Prior to joining Swiss Re, Julia worked as a Macro Market Risk Analyst at Morgan Stanley in New York, where she focused on foreign exchange, sovereign credit, and interest rate markets.
Julia holds a MSc degree in Quantitative Methods and Modelling from Baruch College and an Honours Business Administration degree from Ivey Business School, Western University in London, Canada.
