Jake Meyer joined Swiss Re in January 2021 as a Senior Economist producing the macro outlook for the United States and Canadian economies. Prior to joining Swiss Re he worked as a Quantitative Economist at UBS, focusing on quantitative research into and the development of methodologies for global macroeconomic forecasting and scenario analysis. His background also includes experience teaching international macroeconomics, political economy, and quantitative methods at Claremont Graduate University and California State University Long Beach, and has an academic publication record in these fields through the Claremont Institute for Economic Policy Studies.
Jake received his Ph.D. in the Economics and Political Science Interfield in 2016 from Claremont Graduate University, focusing on the intersection of international macroeconomics, international political economy, and econometrics. He is also currently working on the CFA charter.
