Professional experience

Carlo Bewersdorf began his career in 2001 at Bertelsmann AG as Executive Assistant to the Board member responsible for strategy, M&A, venture capital and strategic alliances, as well as to the CEO of BertelsmannSpringer. Two years later, he joined Deutsche Telekom AG in Bonn, where he held a number of roles including Senior Vice President Trade- & Performance-Marketing. In 2009, Carlo joined a direct insurance company in Cologne as Managing Director. Under his leadership, the insurer became a highly efficient e-commerce insurance business. Following this, he became Global Head of Digital at Allianz SE, Munich, where he later additionally became Managing Director of the corporate company builder Allianz X. In the latter role, he developed and launched the implementation of a new strategic approach to substantially ramp up venture capital investment capabilities. In 2016, Carlo joined Hannoversche Lebensversicherung AG as a Member of the Board, responsible for B2B and B2C multi-channel sales and marketing. Additionally, he drove the new digital group strategy and digital transformation projects.
