Beatrice Weber has been working for more than 25 years in the field of Humanitarian Aid.
She holds a Masters Degree in Economics from Neuchâtel University (Switzerland).
She gained her first professional experience as junior economist at a private university in the north of Mexico in 1992.
Beatrice then worked as ICRC delegate for 6 years in the field (Colombia, Rwanda, Bosnia, Abkhazia (Georgia) and Kosovo) and 3 years at the headquarters of the ICRC in Geneva.
From 2002 to 2005 she was a project manager in Zurich in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility and in 2006 opened the Swiss office of Plan International that she managed for 4 years.
With the Swiss Red Cross since 2012, she is the Head of the Emergency and Disaster Relief Department since 2013.
