Since 2007, Vincent Eckert heads the Internal Environmental Management at Swiss Re, with responsibility for defining strategy for the internal environment management group-wide. His team manages the Swiss Re GHG neutrality program and the employees awareness programme "COyou2". He's been strongly involved in the theRE100 initiative, that has been joined by more than 190 global corporations claiming to run their business using renewable power.
As director of the Swiss Climate foundation, he is responsible for managing the development and the operation of the foundation, which is dedicated to finance climate projects of small and middle enterprises in Switzerland. The foundation is an initiative of and is financed by several finance and service enterprises, among which Swiss Re.
Further, Vincent represents Swiss Re at the board of Madaster Switzerland.
Earlier, Vincent worked for global manufacturing corporations as head Environment and Safety and quality management, where he gained a wide experience in the corporate deployment of EHS management systems as well as in the implementation of Design for Environment processes. He holds a degree in Environmental Physics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Zürich and an EMBA in Business Engineering from the HSG St-Gallen, Switzerland.
