From 2008 until 2010, Serge Troeber headed the Property Centre at Swiss Re, with responsibility for all Property (re)insurance-related activities in the areas of natural perils, terrorism and other man-made exposures, portfolio management as well as treaty and single risk product management. He also acted as a referral underwriter for large property and nat cat transactions.
Prior to this, he was Head of Cat Perils. In 2003, he had returned from Sydney to Zurich to join the natural perils department, where he was in charge of the cat steering and cat risk management unit. From 2000 until 2003, he had served as an Underwriting Manager in Swiss Re’s Australian Branch in Sydney. He joined Swiss Re in 1994 as a property underwriter for various European markets.
Serge Troeber was born in 1968 and is a Swiss citizen. He holds a Master's Degree in Environmental and Natural Sciences from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.
