EU Parliament elections: EU-sceptics on the rise

EU-sceptics are set to make gains in the EU Parliament elections in May. The near-term economic and financial market impact will be limited. Longer term, however, the rise of populist and EU-sceptic forces at the national level could influence EU policy and also complicate international cooperation, particularly in times of crisis.
