About the event - video
The Swiss Re Institute held the Smart Resilience China Forum, hosted by Jayne Plunkett, CEO Reinsurance Asia, and John Chen, President Swiss Re China, together with the Swiss Re Foundation on 16 May 2019 in Beijing.
The Forum included the Swiss Re Institute Symposium, opened by Mr Moses Ojeisekhoba, Swiss Re's Chief Executive Officer Reinsurance, and covered research on topics ranging from technology trends, climate change mitigation and risk management for socio-economic resilience.
The Symposium was followed by an evening reception to introduce the finalists of the Swiss Re Foundation's annual Entrepreneurs for Resilience Award. This was the first time this prestigious ceremony took place in China. The 2019 award focused on innovative solutions that offer more and better access to healthcare for households in low-income communities.
