Following the success of the Insurance Medicine Summits in 2012 and 2014, our 3rd Insurance Medicine Summit took place on 15 - 17 November 2017, at the Swiss Re Centre for Global Dialogue near Zurich. Chief Medical Officers, Chief L&H Underwriters and Claims Managers of global insurers discussed the latest medical trends and advances together with leading academics, clinicians and researchers.
At the conference, we explored a wide spectrum of the latest research and developments in insurance medicine. Amongst the topics addressed was the paradigm shift in type 2 diabetes, the latest trends in cancer diagnostics and therapies, the risks and needs for an ageing population as well as the impact of new technologies on product innovation.
The programme was being set up in collaboration with medical officers across different continents. It will provide a unique platform, providing participants with tangible and practical information of direct relevance to their daily work, as well as their companies' guidelines and products.
