Bring forward your career in casualty. Join the Swiss Re Liability Client Programme.

Description
Are you beginning your career in the casualty department of a direct insurer? Do you want to gain a better understanding of your business lines, both to help you in your current job and to forward your career?

Welcome to Swiss Re Institute. Our experts have decades of experience across casualty departments and are ideally placed to support you in the next steps of your insurance journey.

Our Fundamentals of Casualty client programme is the ideal introductory course for junior liability underwriters (or loss adjusters) who wish to gain a comprehensive understanding of Professional Indemnity (PI) and General Third Party Liability (GTPL) insurance. We will explore how these are structured differently in different states; and will discuss how they fit into the wider casualty business portfolio.

The course features both direct instruction and group work to realise your own business solutions. It will be delivered virtually, available to you regardless of location. You will have full access to all learning materials, and be able to raise issues directly with our instructors.

Target group
The course is designed for those on the first rung of the career ladder in casualty, either in an underwriting or a claims/loss adjustment capacity.

Requirements

  • Fluent English.
  • At least one year's experience in a casualty position.
  • Basic familiarity with the casualty business.

Learning goals

  • Transfer knowledge gained into sustainable business solutions.
  • Ability to have sufficient understanding to contribute to product development and enhancement.
