The 15th CRO Assembly, organized by Swiss Re Institute, took place at Swiss Re's the Centre for Global Dialogue from 21-22 May. This year the focus on was supply chains and exploring the risks, the insights, and the ways forward, from every angle.
'The chain is as strong as its weakest link', the saying goes. There is increasing complexity that requires teaming up. With greater transparency across global supply chains, and by teaming up to construct and share supply chain maps, the insurance industry will be in a far better place to support clients. The participants of the Chief Risk Officer Assembly came together for these two days to share insights, to network, and to hear from a breathtaking variety of experts from around the globe.
Day One saw the launch of Swiss Re Institute's SONAR Report, fresh off the press with the latest emerging risk trends. Day Two took participants across the world to look at supply chain risk management, latest developments and technologies, as well as vulnerabilities from global trade to political risks. The call for action was clear: With increasing complexity, insurers need more transparency on global supply chains. This can be achieved by working together to ease and standardize the exchange of supply chain data. Participants agreed that this is the perfect focus area for next year's CRO Assembly.
