Ana Roldán

Ana Roldán is a Mexican-Swiss artist who lives and works in Zurich and in Mexico. She is inspired by the work of Adolfo Best Maugard and the emotional architecture of Luis Barragán, whose furniture designs she incorporates in her work. Roldán often confronts the austere modernism of Europe, for example in its Protestant appearance of Zurich's constructive and concrete art, with the softer, less austere modernism of Latin America.
