Description

The highly economic picture structure of Christopher Wool's work consists exclusively of blocks of writing or decoration. The artist stencils words, sentences and fragments of sentences onto white metal surfaces. Decoration or embellishments are added using a rubber paint roller or rubber stamps. Even the floral patterns obtain an almost aggressively direct presence with their hard surfaces and powerful structures, which spread all over the picture.
