A window into the future: Understanding and predicting longevity podcast

Listen to our podcast. Daniel Ryan, Head of Research & Development for Life & Health and Costas Yiasoumi, Head of Longevity Solutions, discuss the new Swiss Re longevity report.

The good news that people are living longer has brought with it substantial financial problems throughout much of the world. One of the reasons behind the funding difficulties is that historical projections of future longevity have failed to take account of important developments in medicine and society. "A window into the future: Understanding and predicting longevity" analyses how improved models for assessing life expectancy could play a part in the overall solution.

Report author Daniel Ryan and Head of Longevity Solutions Costas Yiasoumi discuss the content of this report and the implications for pension plans, insurers and governments.
