Climate Week NYC 2013: streaming live

On the 5th anniversary of Climate Week NYC, we're joining the world's premier climate change thought leaders to discuss the transition to a low carbon and more resilient society.

Climate Week NYC has grown to become a hub for more than 50 high-profile meetings, events and activities organized in and around New York City by a diverse group of business, government, art and civil society players.

Swiss Re, the founding sponsor of the event, is participating in the conversation alongside a coalition of companies, politicians, state and federal representatives, and public figures well as executives from global companies including HP, Phillips, IKEA and SolarCity.

In celebration of Swiss Re's 150 Years Anniversary and Climate Week NYC's 5th, we are streaming live from the summit on 23 September at 10:30am EST/ 4:30pm CET, where we are hosting the session "Rethinking Resiliency: One Year After Sandy."  The event, which will feature Swiss Re Americas Chairman Philip Ryan, will explore the challenges facing climate vulnerable societies today and how to build more climate resilient cities.

"It has been fascinating to watch Climate Week NYC grow from just an idea to become an important event on the international climate change calendar, all in a five-year period. It has become a valuable platform to show Swiss Re's thought leadership in this area to the business, policy making and civil society communities," says Mark Way, Swiss Re Head Sustainability Americas.

Watch the live stream, read about the Climate Week activities, and follow us on Twitter for updates from the event.

Also, check Swissre.com for further updates from the premier climate/sustainability event in the Americas. A link to stream the event live will soon be available.
