Recognising excellence and innovation in rehabilitation

17 March 2014 - CommInsure announced as the inaugural winner of the Excellence and Innovation in Rehabilitation Award. Click here for more information.

Swiss Re and ALUCA have joined forces to launch a new award for life insurance claims / rehabilitation professionals. The Excellence & Innovation in Rehabilitation Award recognises an initiative undertaken in 2013 that strives to optimise health and return to work outcomes for customers.

The objective of the award is to recognise initiatives and innovations from within the insurance market around the provision of rehabilitation services, with demonstrated benefits to all key parties.

Award entries should detail an initiative or innovation whereby benefits have been realised in the 2013 calendar year. Some examples of benefits may include: enhanced quality of customer experience, improved claims outcomes or reduction in claims longevity.

Each entry should outline timescales, objectives, parties involved and the scope of their involvement. The judging panel will be looking for an innovative approach to claims rehabilitation and tangible, outcome-focused results.

How papers will be judged

  • Executive summary of the outcome or benefit of the initiative/innovation (10 marks)
  • Outline of the initiative/innovation, how it was implemented and research foundation (30 marks)

  • Presentation of information in a clear and concise way, using real or hypothetical examples (20 marks)
