The autonomous car: the way ahead for the re/insurance industry

Self-driving - or autonomous - cars just may be moving from imagination to reality. How should the re/insurance industry react? The Swiss Re Centre for Global Dialogue discusses where the road may lead in the latest Risk Dialogue Magazine.

The Swiss Re Centre for Global Dialogue has gathered experts to examine the autonomous car - and the implications -  in its latest Risk Dialogue Magazine.

We've joined with colleagues from PwC, Singularity University, Frost and Sullivan UK, and the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg to look at  the effect of automated driver assistance systems, the relationship between insuring automated cars vs manually driven vehicles, and the effect overall on the re/insurance industry.
